Alessia Arrigoni

Alessia Arrigoni is a post-doctoral researcher at the CNR-SCITEC POP Lab in Milan, Italy. Her role in this project will involve conducting research on the study and the optimization of the organic functionalization of metallic substrates and their characterization. She obtained her MSc and PhD in Materials Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2019 and 2024, respectively. During her PhD, she focused on the fundamental characterization and development of functional electrospun polymer fibers. Her research centered on functional organic polymers with piezoelectric and semiconductive properties, studied in combination with other molecular systems. She has a strong background in the characterization of organic materials, employing various techniques such as SEM, TEM for morphology, and FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy for molecular structure and interactions.
